How does rhetoric apply to me now?
When I first started this course, I had no idea about anything to do with rhetoric in writing, it all seemed rather foreign to me. Since I have completed this course, I have gotten a much better understanding of the use of rhetoric. I have learned that the rhetor is the person or item "talking" in the text, they are the ones sharing the ideas. In the case of this blog, I am the rhetor, and I am sharing answers to the questions. The audience is the group of people the rhetor is trying to convey his ideas to. In this case, the audience would be you, the reader. Exigence is the reason the rhetor is doing the sharing, in our example, I am writing this blog entry so I can get a good grade for the course. I am also writing to share what I have learned over the course of this project.
These are just a few of the many things I have learned over the course of this project.
